I would consider this book to be at the intermediate level in terms of content, but it is also very user-friendly. The text includes all the beginning information found in Baker, but adds much more explanation on how to actually pronounce the words, coaching the reader on tongue placement and where in the mouth the vowels and consonants are found. A very interesting part of the book is that the second half is completely texts in Old English, as well as facsimiles of actual manuscripts and a comprehensive glossary.
